First, let's just start with his words:
"You protect us. We are always going to protect you. And you just saw that, 'cause you just got one of the biggest pay raises you've ever received. ... You haven't gotten one in more than 10 years. More than 10 years. And we got you a big one. I got you a big one. I got you a big one.
"They had plenty of people that came up, they said, 'You know, we could make it smaller. We could make it 3%, we could make it 2%, we could make it 4%.
"I said, 'No. Make it 10%. Make it more than 10%. Cause it's been a long time, it's been more than 10 years. Been more than 10 years, that's a long time."
First of all, HUH? Second, WOW!
Come on military personnel, especially those of you who have been in for 30 years. When was the last time you didn't see your pay go up? It has gone up every year for the past 30 years. Second, please email me your pay stubs showing me that your pay went up 10%. You can see this lie inside your own paychecks. How can you stand this guy?
If the lies aren't enough, the actions should be. Take a really close look at what Democrats are trying to do. Democrats love our military. Let's get that out first and foremost. What Democrats don't like, and this should be a good thing, is wasteful spending. That is something we thought Republicans didn't like. They think if they just keep throwing money at the military and cutting taxes, that will look good.
Independents, I am talking to you. You are the ones in the middle, let me do your research for you. Republicans keep saying that if we cut taxes, that will help corporations create jobs which will in turn create more revenue for the government. Well, it is not working out like that.
Look at this chart:
For the foreseeable future, the budget deficit is going to increase. Look at the Obama years. The first few years were spent fixing George W Bush's mistakes with cutting taxes to corporations and ending government oversight over financial institutions - causing one of the biggest unnecessary stock market crashes in recent memory. Then, he fought hard to reduce the deficit. And, he did a pretty good job. He wanted to increase taxes on corporations and the richest of the rich (with which some of the richest of the rich, like Warren Buffett
, agree). But the Republican Senate and House were not buying in.
My military friends, especially those of you who lean Independent, keep following my blog. I will back up my statements here with facts.

I support you and what you do. I am a teacher who receives about the same amount in pay raises as you do. That is something we accept in public service. Yes, you deserve that 10% raise that Trump was telling you about, but you do not deserve a liar. Listen to the truth. Again, you can see this lie by Trump in your own paychecks. Don't let him lie to you anymore.
